SuperGu is trying to Copyright Open Source Pligg Code, Sends C&D to Pligg

SuperGu stole CSS code from Pligg and applied for copyright it as their own. They then sent a cease and desist letter to Pligg asking them to remove their code because of copyright infringement. Show your support for Pligg, the most popular digg-like open source CMS.

We have already brought up the issue of SuperGu author trying to defame Pligg by bad-mouthing about this noble project at Digg through his inaccurate submissions, more details available from Pligg forum at http://www.pligg.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4637

The most funny part is that he seems to claim copyright for the “Powered by” phrase and RSS icon is his own invention - what a retard!!!

We hope EFF, FSF and other OSS supporters show their support to Pligg and get them out of trouble.

SuperGu has shut down all its sites and went absconding - James Phelps has committed crime against Open Source Software and also is a fraud by falsifying the documents to Government (USCO) - hope he has learnt a costly lesson and lost all money spent to his copyright advisor and legal advisors - Thanks god the Pligg project member left him without suing else he should have paid a huge money to them as well.
